Meet the Photographer

Young man with black hair, glasses, and a big smile, wearing a black blazer and shirt, standing in a store with wine bottles on shelves behind him.
A man and a child by a lakeshore, with mountains and trees in the background.
A young man with short, curly hair playing an acoustic guitar on stage, singing into a microphone, with stage lights creating a colorful ambiance.

My name is Courage Kim, and I specialize in proposal, engagement, and event photography. Photography, to me, is about telling your story with honesty, heart, and artistry. What I love most are the in-between moments, the nervous laughter, the quick glance, the subtle touch, that often go unseen. Anyone can capture a kiss or the big “yes,” but it’s in those fleeting, quiet in-betweens that real emotions live, and that’s where I find my art.

I first discovered photography in high school, when I signed up for an elective class and met a teacher who encouraged me to express myself through the lens. Back then, I never thought photography would become more than a hobby. But years later, when I captured the moment of a father teaching his daughter to fish, I realized that photography wasn’t just about pictures—it was about preserving emotions, telling stories, and giving people the ability to relive moments that would otherwise fade.

Creativity has always been part of who I am. Through music, I’ve learned how to connect with people and tell stories that reach the heart. Photography became another extension of that.

No matter where I am, the one thing that has become more and more true is that I am deeply grateful to God for the responsibility and honor to photograph every single project I take on. From Los Angeles to St. Petersburg, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some the best people, and I look forward to working with you too!
